Raquel Obumba
Raquel’s parents, who owned several rental properties, exposed her to real estate at an early age. Real estate became a family effort when tenants moved in and out of the properties. Raquel and her parents worked together to complete repairs and paint touch ups where needed. From an early age, Raquel gained an appreciation for real estate and property management.
Raquel earned her Georgia real estate salesperson license in 2006. Since receiving her salesperson license, Raquel has worked with several clients to make their home-ownership goals become a reality. Additionally, Raquel has provided property management services and successfully managed a wide range of issues affecting her portfolio of rental properties. These issues range from facilitating the major repair of a fallen kitchen ceiling to the minor repair of a toilet flapper.
Raquel has a wealth of experience working with buyers seeking to utilize down-payment assistance programs in the purchase of their homes. Raquel also utilizes tailored and creative techniques to market seller’s properties to other real estate professionals and the general public.
Beyond her professional experiences, Raquel has truly become a student of the real estate industry and housing market. Raquel has completed over 50 hours of continuing education courses, which have kept her abreast of the changing market conditions and updated technology available to simplify real estate transactions.
Raquel brings approximately 16 years of professional real estate experience and a lifetime of real estate perspective to Millennial Properties. While each of her transactions have been different, the knowledge gained has further developed Raquel into a capable, knowledgeable, and diligent real estate professional.
Raquel holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Economics from Spelman College and a Master’s of Urban Planning from the University of Michigan.
